Ancestors called this desolate place Khatri Tara. Bindabasini Temple: This white Hindu religious temple, built in the pagoda style,
is considered the most popular temple and religious site in Pokhara. From the temple, you can also enjoy a fabulous view of the
city and the mountain ranges. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Durga, also known as Shakti or Kali, and to numerous manifestations.
The Peace Stupa is also known locally as the "Bishwa Shanti Stupa" or the "World Peace Pagoda." The atmosphere is peaceful up here,
and visitors are expected to maintain silence. The Peace Stupa sits atop a hill overlooking Pokhara's Phewa Lake.
The stupa is surrounded by forests, Raniban, and offers magnificent views of the city of Pokhara and the great mountain ranges in the distance.
